Twelve-time NBA All-Star guard Dwyane Wade will reunite with former Miami Heat teammate LeBron James, league sources told ESPN’s, Adrian Wojnarowski.
This time, the two will look to bring the Cleveland Cavaliers a title. The dynamic duo won two championships together in Miami before LeBron made his homecoming back to Cleveland.
According to the report, Wade, 35, will sign a one-year, $2.3 million veteran’s minimum contract as a free agent.
The three-time NBA champion has averaged 23.3 points, 5.7 assists and 4.8 rebounds per game over his 14-year career.
Last season, he averaged 18.3 points for the Chicago Bulls.
The deal will become official once he has cleared waivers, the report said.
League sources said Wade gave back $8 million of his $23.8 million 2017-2018 salaries to reach a buyout with the Bulls, ESPN reported.
